The City of Miami Beach Land Use Committee will be having a special workshop (via Zoom Platform) on September 17, 2020, at 1 p.m. to discuss alcoholic beverages sales on Ocean Drive – here is a link. One of the discussion topics is the potential roll back of alcohol sales to 12:00 am midnight, with the ability to request up to a 5:00 am extension through a board. While this is only to address alcoholic beverage uses on Ocean Drive, this may have far broader impacts in the future. Therefore, we strongly recommend you attend the meeting or submit your comments in advance to Commissioner Mark Samuelian the chairman of the Land Use Committee (at [email protected]).
The meeting is scheduled for the afternoon, but it might be moved to the morning. Contact the City of Miami Beach Clerk’s office for updated information. The agenda and the memos have not yet been finalized or published. They should be available sometime early this week.
